17th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta

I know this a super late post on the event pero habol ko na lang din. This is my first time to attend the Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta and they are on the 17th year of celebrating it. My friends (Sarah, Kimpee and Richelle) and I decided to attend the last day of event that started February 9, 2012.

Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta is an annual event that started way back in 1994 at Omni Aviation Complex in Clark Field, Angeles City, Pampanga and usually runs for  three to four days. It showcases colorful hot air balloons, paragliding exhibition, kite flying exhibiton, skydiving exhibition, aerobatic exhibition, hot air balloon night glow and among other activities that includes flying in the air! 🙂 There was even a “kilig” marriage proposal that day!

There was a mini vintage car show in the morning. All courtesy of Volkswagen. Not a legitimate vintage car show though, mga byahero din sila and struggling through the traffic due to the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta. Good thing the drivers and passengers were accommodating enough to my request, “Pa-picture lang po”, with a smile. They stopped for awhile and smiled at the camera.

It was really fun seeing a lot of colorful kites and hot air balloons swaying and flying freely in the air. You can see people enjoyed and engrossed with lots of activities. Different booths were present and cater various products and services for people to enjoy including Canon, Fuji Film, Air Asia.com, St. Luke’s Medical Center, Yellow Cab, Caltex and many more.

But my favorite part of the day was when Kimpee bought and posed with a Pinwheel or what he calls a “wind mill.” Just find the photo  below. 🙂

Afterthoughts on Valentine’s Day

The season of showing more of your love.

So eto sila:

  • Sweet pa rin ang mga kaibigan mo, both girls and boys. Single man o hindi. Babatiin ka nila o kaya bibigyan ng chocolate or cookies. Salamat pala sa Goya, Khar! At sa’yo Janey, thanks sa cookies. 🙂
  • Hindi ako fan ng Valentine’s Day. Just give me something to eat or something that I can use on a daily basis. In short, may pakinabang.
  • I am happy. Yes, totoo ‘yan. Kahit wala akong date or walang boyfriend, hindi ako naging bitter. Sa kabila ng mga semplang na daan pagdating sa buhay pag-ibig ko, eh hindi pa rin ako nawalan ng katinuan and trying to be an optimist all the time. Sabi ko nga, EXPECTATION/EXPECTING IS A CRIME. Bawal ‘yon.
May punto s’ya ‘don.
Malabo ba? Hehehe. Sabi nila, maraming isda sa dagat. Make sure to catch the finest creature in the ocean. 🙂

Just listen to this song para masaya. 🙂

Jun Sabayton Jr.

Tumblr description – social satirist, film/video director, photographer, wanabe film archivist,ex production designer. likes jonas mekas, self centered bastard, Walang ibang bisyo kundi umibig. 🙂

Friends nya sina Lourd de Veyra, RA Rivera at Ramon Bautista.

Saturday Cravings

Last Saturday, I went to a friend’s house sa Balic Balic para dalhin ang CPU ko. My CPU’s power supply IS still busted. When I’m about to go home, sabi ng friend ko eh sumabay na lang ako sa kanya at ang kanyang way ay papuntang SM Megamall. Pwede rin ako ako sumakay dun pauwi taking a MIA bus.

This is a new product from the donut store.

Dunkin 'Yan

My friend and I parted ways sa main entrance ng mall. Masyadong nababad sa matamis ang dila ko so I decided to grab some salty snack. I took the MRT hallway para makapunta sa Southbound ng EDSA. Then I saw Siomai House and ordered a Japanese siomai.

Japanese Siomai, Siomai House's Version

So I gave in. I ordered fried noodles with beef siomai.
