Films for September

Monthly dose of film! 😀

Sa wakas, I am able to update this category on a monthly basis. As much as I want to, I really want to see more than 10 movies each month. However, because of work, some lakwatsa and being lazy, I couldn’t see more than 10 movies. But maybe for the following months, I might be able to do it. Heh! 🙂

Here:

1. Spirited Away by Hayao Miyazaki. 2001.

2. American Psycho by Mary Harron. 2000. (Twice)

3. Memories of Murder by Joon-ho Bong. 2003.

4. Wicker Park by Paul McGuigan. 2004.

5. Arthur by Jason Winer. 2011

6. The Banquet by Xiaogang Feng. 2006.

Going Mythical

I have been reading mythical books since last year. No, they’re not just books, they are comic books. One thing that I really like about it is that they feature our very own Philippine mythical creatures like Duwende, Diwata and alike.

I think this is a big leap on our Philippine Literature. Presenting our own folklore to the new generation with the a different kind of approach. Instead of just merely telling those mythical stories to the kids, they add up an enticing approach; vivid illustration of black and white. People should patronize them. Great stories and well, art wise, you will never go wrong. You will be proud of these Pinoys’ works! 🙂

So, here are they:

Story by: Budjette Tan | Illustration by: KaJo Baldisimo

I want to be Alexandra. Haha. 😀

SkyWorld | Naermyth by Karen Francisco

Though Naermyth has no detailed pictures/illustration inside, you still gonna like it. According to Karen Francisco, Naermyth was intended to be a comic. Read here for the full story. 🙂 This should be a comic/graphic novel.

Story by: Mervin Ignacio | Illustration by: Ian Sta. Maria

Grab them!

Inside the Skyworld

I want more of Skyworld.

Go now and grab a copy! 😀 Enjoy our own Literature.

Something about Bus A and Bus B stop over. Tsk.

Mapa-estribo man ‘yan o sa gitnang parte.

That Boracay Trip

Believe me, I wasn’t that excited when my friend told me that she’ll tag me along with her trip to Boracay. But of course, sino ba naman ako para tumanggi sa grasya? 😀  Anyway, I am glad that I was able to visit Boracay Island and see some other parts of Aklan.

Visiting Boracay once is enough. Basta nagkaroon lang ng chance. I am not definitely a big fan of this sought-after beach/tourist spot. But I really commend the beach. 🙂

Peeking.

Morning Beach.

Where we stayed

Looks like a hotel room. But I’d say that it is more of a condo-type room.

Yeah, the view 🙂

You know what to order here. 🙂

Their Lemon Cheesecake is heaven.

Shades of green and blue

If ever that I’ll be visiting Aklan in the future (again), I’ll go for Kalibo. 🙂

P. S. Thanks for the other photos taken from my friend‘s photo album. 🙂
