Red Mug

Nestle is celebrating its 75 years of producing household favorites like coffee and creamer and providing 5, 500 cups of instant coffee every second  around the world. Because it’s already 75 years, they produced a limited edition of this red mug:

Instant coffee plus that red mug.

Instant coffee plus that red mug.

Nung nakita ko ‘to sa grocery store, di na ‘ko nagpatumpik-tumpik pa. Kuha agad nang hindi tumitingin sa presyo. Well, medyo fan kasi ako ng Nestle eh. Lalo na sa kape. Though there had been bad news about the company, it didn’t ruin my love affair with their instant coffee and creamer.

This red mug's a good companion.

The Aklatan 2013

Glad I was able to attend Aklatan 2013, the first all-Filipino book festival. It’s like visiting a bookstore with lots of Filipino Literature; from novels to short stories to poems and even graphic novels. Good stuff, I tell you but my pocket didn’t allow me to indulge more. The book fair started at 8AM and I went there around 9. My only goal that day was to buy the TRESE Book (The Diabolical stories) and have it signed by the authors; Budjette Tan and Kajo Baldisimo. Mali ata ang basa ko ng program. I thought they will be at the book fair at 9am (because the program said that it will be a book launching for the said title) but turned out to be in the afternoon. Thought I would be disappointed but no. I stayed a little bit more and saw more interesting stuff and well, people 🙂

So, what can you say? May movie na! Then the writers during their childhood days. Can you guess?

The publishers

Visprint. Ang pasimuno.

ADMU press and I forgot the name of the other publishing company.

UST press and Vibal

Adarna. Summit Media. KOMIKON.

The Sidetrip

The National Book Development Board Chair FLOR MARIE “NENI” STA. ROMANA-CRUZ gave speech and some information about the reading books statistics and development. The guitarist of Ang Bandang Shirley performed two songs for the bookworms.

There was a mini tulaan.

The people

The contemporary Filipino writers signing their books for the bookworms.

The chance of meeting these awesome people. Yey for Lourd de Veyra, Eros Atalia, Carlo Vergara and Ricky Lee!

The bookworms were listening attentively to these awesome writers. 🙂
